Der digitale Wandel bewegt die Schweizer Berufsfachschulen und stellt eine tiefgehende Entwicklung der Bildungsstätten dar, die sowohl die Unterrichts- als auch die Organisationsebene der Schule betref-fen. Die erfolgreiche Steuerung dieses Wandels liegt in erster Linie im Verantwortungsbereich der Schulleitungen. Mit Hilfe von zwei quantitativen Erhebungen bei Schulleitungsmitgliedern (n = 306) wurde der digitale Entwicklungsstand der Schweizer Berufsfachschulen unmittelbar vor dem Ausbruch der Corona-Krise (11/2019 – 01/2020) und im Frühjahr 2021 erfasst. Darüber hinaus wird untersucht, inwieweit der Führungsstil der Proband*innen mit dieser Entwicklung zusammenhängt. Die Ergebnisse zeigen eine verbesserte Wahrnehmung des digitalen Entwicklungsstands (d = .420) im zeitlichen Ver-lauf der Pandemie. Bei den digitalen Hürden kann zugleich ein Rückgang festgestellt werden. Wie erwartet, konnten während dieses kurzen Zeitabschnitts nur geringfügige Zusammenhänge mit dem Schulleitungshandeln beobachtet werden. Die geplante dritte Erhebung im Jahr 2022 wird diesbezüglich Klarheit schaffen.

The digital transformation is moving Swiss VET schools and represents a profound development of educational institutions, affecting both the teaching and organisational levels of the school. The successful management of this change is primarily the responsibility of school management. With the help of two quantitative surveys of school management members (n = 306), the digital development status of Swiss VET schools was recorded immediately before the outbreak of the Corona crisis (11/2019 - 01/2020) and in spring 2021. In addition, the extent to which the leadership style of the test persons is related to this development is investigated. The results show an improved perception of the level of digital development (d = .420) over the course of the pandemic. At the same time, a decrease in digital barriers can be observed. As expected, only minor correlations with school leadership actions could be observed during this short time period. The planned third survey in 2022 will provide clarity in this regard.
