Résumé
L’exclusion des personnes en situation de handicap (PSH) est en partie due aux barrières socialement construites. Malgré les différentes dispositions légales, plusieurs barrières subsistent et les développements technologiques ainsi que la numérisation peuvent en amener de nouvelles. Afin d’éviter cela, une approche renouvelée de co-innovation avec et pour les PSH nous semble nécessaire. En effet, bien que certaines disciplines et méthodes de conception mettent en place un processus, individuellement aucune ne permet, à notre avis, d’apporter des solutions satisfaisantes. Aussi, nous proposons une approche transdisciplinaire de co-innovation basée sur les principes de la recherche-action collaborative ainsi qu’un dispositif de gestion favorisant la participation des PSH. Cette approche transdisciplinaire permet la prise en compte des savoirs non scientifiques, notamment ceux des PSH. Dans cette note de recherche, nous discutons 1) comment l’approche transdisciplinaire proposée permet de dépasser les limites des discipline et méthode de conception, 2) notre compréhension renouvelée de la participation, notamment sur la notion du pouvoir et 3) la reconnaissance des savoirs d’usage des PSH ou pairjectifs.
The exclusion of people with disabilities (PWD) is in part due to socially constructed barriers. Despite various legal provisions, many of these barriers remain in place, with technological developments and digitalisation leading to new ones. To mitigate this, we believe that a renewed approach to co-innovation with and for PWD is needed. Although some disciplines and design methods set up a process, none of them, in our view, can individually provide satisfactory solutions. We therefore propose a transdisciplinary approach to co-innovation based on the principles of collaborative action research, combined with a management system that fosters PWD participation. This transdisciplinary approach allows for consideration of non-scientific knowledge, and particularly that of PWD. In this research note, we discuss 1) how the proposed transdisciplinary approach makes it possible to overcome the limits of disciplines and design methods, 2) our renewed understanding of participation, particularly regarding the notion of power, and 3) the recognition of PWD knowledge of use or peerjective knowledge.
