Becoming a manager represents a major change within a career and is all too often ignored. This phase can be approached through the evolution of roles. New managers must learn to become a translator in the sense that they have to deal with different factors. Moreover, the manager also discovers that the reality of the job is often far removed from its representations. Faced with the difficulties of this professional transition which can sometimes lead to real suffering, it is important to both develop our knowledge of the supervisory activity, as well as actively and continually support the new manager.
