Business model innovation : a process model for digital innovations

DaSilva, Carlos (School of Management Fribourg, HES-SO // University of Applied Sciences Western Switzerland)

Building upon the previous literature, this research addresses an important gap in understanding the behavior of entrepreneurial firms and entrepreneurs and, by doing so, sheds new light on the business model innovation process that helps sustain entrepreneurial activity via enduring entrepreneurship. Accordingly, this research addresses the following research questions: (1) What specific processes of business model innovation are aimed at creating and capturing value from new opportunities? (2) How do these processes develop over time to facilitate enduring entrepreneurship?
