In both France and Switzerland, occupational therapists work with diverse populations (age, socioeconomic level language, ethnicity, health status, etc.). Several researchers argue that intercultural sensitivity is related to psychological characteristics. In this context, a longitudinal study (2016-2019) was conducted among 111 occupational therapy students from France and Switzerland. In 1st year and 3rd year of formation, they completed a questionnaire about multicultural personality, adult attachment, and acculturations orientations of the host community. The results show the evolution of their profile concerning the relation to the Other. Few significant differences are recorded by comparing the mean scores of the two measurement times. However, results indicate a decrease in cultural empathy and adherence to integrationist and exclusionist orientations, and an increase in affiliation to integrationist-transformation orientation. Recommendations for initial training are outlined.
