More than just a transition from middle age to old age, retirement is characterized by a variety of changes [Krahe, 2011]; especially in occupation pattern. However, the transition to retirement allows the person to redefine herself through a new occupational balance outside the professional sphere [Ogg et Renaut, 2013]. Retired women from the baby-boom are the first generation of women who have spent most of their lives at work. How do they change their occupations after retirement ? How do they perceive their occupational balance ? What do they recommend for a serene retirement ? These questions are answered in a descriptive and cross-sectional quantitative study conducted with a survey of 51 retired women. It documents the occupations stopped, diminished, maintained, augmented and started by these women, at different times. The text will end with recommendations for occupational therapists working with this population.
