Résumé

Through speculative design, afrosurrealism, critical fabulations and alternative pedagogies Fiction Practice explores the wide potential of fiction as a tool for social change. For one week, in four rooms, over forty people designed other worlds, brought impossibilities to life, remixed histories and artefacts, disclosed parallel dimensions, and modelled ontological oddities. This book records the process and outcome of an expanded curatorship lab created by Mariana Pestana for the first edition of Porto Design Biennale.
